Today was Westfall's first day back after being off for 4 snow days last week... we have used all of our calamity days and have one day to make-up on Feb 16th (if that isn't a snow day!). Being the weather was bad and roads were scarry, I was blessed with Logann for three days and nights ;-) (Abbie got to stay home with her Daddy, who arrived home recently from Iraq). Logann and I had a great time together, but she was ready to go home, not to mention Melissa and Kevin missed her tremendously; so they were more than ready to take her home!
Given I sometimes tire of my uninterrupted days with 2 students, I was rewarded today with a big hug from each of my students ;-) They missed me! This is one of the many reasons that I teach... when students are given respect and are appreciated for their individuality they return the respect and appreciation!!
I ventured out on Friday to visit my friend Sue... she had a full knee replacement on Jan 19th. She is staying with her sister until she is able to get around more independently. Of course she has a great attitude and is doing more than she is required to recover; and making faster progress than her doctor expects!
We are still waiting for Alyvia to arrive ;-) Even though Megan is due Feb 19th, we anticipate she will deliver soon because she has dropped, her water has leaked (and resealed), and she had contractions every five minutes for almost a week ;-( So.... Alyvia will be welcomed whenever the time comes!! We are anxious, to say the least ;-)
Tasha's "peanut" has grown to a "plum" I am sooo excited. August will arrive quickly. We have birthdays, anniversaries, and will plan a fun shower between now and then ;-) Time will fly!
